Greece, Ukraine Survive Relegation Battle

Greece beat Israel 80-54 to finish 3-0 in Group G of the Classification Round at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz France.

The result saw Greece hold on to their Division A status while the loss for Israel - combined with Ukraine's 79-70 win over the Czech Republic - saw them fall to 1-2 only good enough for third place and more importantly relegate them to Division B.

France Shake Off Czechs, But Only Just

France narrowly avoided letting another big lead go to waste as they beat the Czech Republic 78-67 at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz, France.

With the win, the host nation finished second in Group A behind Serbia and secured their place in the Qualifying Round.
